Anthropological human beauty studies have refuted traditional facial beauty concepts developed by the Greek and popularized later on by Renaissance artists and anatomists from the XV and XVI centuries.
Investigators have demonstrated that the observers´ perception of any individual´s face´s attractiveness and its beauty is in a great way a constant matter, independently their age, sex and cultural environment.
The conclusion of these studies is that facial beauty is defined by a combination of average or proportion, symmetry or harmony; and the size of each feature. It has been determined that the periorbitareal region, the cheekbone prominence and high are strongly correlated positively with attractiveness. And that is, precisely what we achieve with a facial lifting: to reposition the time passed and gravity effects flabby elements in order to make that face a look as attractive as it was when it was younger, among other modifications that are also performed, such as eye brow elevation and jaw frame arch definition. |
