These are silicone implants which are inserted from behind the knee, in the aponeurosis of the muscles.
Normally it is indicated on calves’ atrophy by accidents, nerve after effects (Poliomyelitis), or by congenital defect on skin calves.
Type of Anesthesia: local, with sedation. Length of procedure: two hours. Recovery: a tight but soft bandage is to be worn after the operation.
